Worried you need a small fortune to treat yourself? Wrong!

We all know that raising little ones isn’t always kind to our bank balance. They seem to grow out of clothes and shoes and toys so quickly that it’s often difficult to keep up. So, when it comes to getting time to treat yourself for a change, you might be worrying about the financial cost. You might be worried that you need a small fortune to treat yourself – for more information about investments, gold coins and silver check out Golden Eagle Coin – but that’s simply not true. There are ways you can treat yourself without breaking the bank.

Don’t believe me? Read on for a few examples.

A weekend away

Sounds expensive, doesn’t it? But in fact, there are plenty of ways you and your partner can get a couple of nights away together without breaking into your piggy banks. There are many online gift companies that provide weekend break packages for a really low price, with you having the control over where you stay (choosing from destinations all over the UK) to when you stay and how long for. Companies also have offers on throughout the year so you might be able to get a two night stay in a hotel of your choice for as little as £99. Do a bit of research and see what you can find.

If you have a specific destination in mind, then try booking mid-week for cheaper room rates, or well in advance. It’s also a good idea to steer clear of any public holidays or things like Valentines or Mother’s Day if you want a cheaper rate.

Redecorate

Sounds too much like hard work? Don’t worry – we don’t mean pulling up the floor boards. Put you’d be amazed at how different a room can look with just a simple lick of paint. A new rug on the floor, or a new light fixture. You don’t have to spend a fortune either.

Try that new coffee shop

There’s a new coffee shop in town and everyone is raving about it. So, why not treat yourself and head over there when you have an afternoon or a few hours to yourself? Have a beautifully fresh coffee and a slice of indulgent cake. Take a book with you or sit and watch the world go by. It’s the little things that make us feel content.

Meet with friends

When was the last time you spent any time with your friends? Life gets in the way and any good friend will know that, and probably feel the same way! Try to sync your free time and head out for a coffee or a glass of wine. Or make a day of it and explore somewhere you used to go as kids or have always wanted to visit as an adult.

Head out into nature

Taking a walk through the woods, or around the park is great for your body and your soul. Spending time outdoors reduces your stress levels and your heart rate!
