With half term fast approaching I’ve been looking for ways we can visit new places while also saving money. I need them to be suitable for a 3 and 8 year old so it can feel pretty hard when looking to find something that keeps everyone happy and also mummy’s purse happier too.
I’ve been looking at a day trip to London over the may half term break to see what new areas of London we can discover to lift our sense of adventure!
Here are a few things to do in London this half term that won’t break the bank.
This will cover all bases as there will be some great sites from your favourite theatre shows. Why not book this and then treat yourself to one of the many shows on in London every night. It’s also fab for seeing some of the city landmarks as well!
My little ones love to compete with each other and so this activity would see them have fun but also get rid of all that excess energy they always have. You could add extra fun to the day by dressing up as a golfer too! Who will get a hole in one first?
We visited the wetlands centre a few years ago and this is a super easy place to get to on public transport with train tickets from Brighton costing £22 for all 3 of us. It is a great space to learn about nature, birds and it’s incredible this space is such tranquil spot in London.
N20 Kids Klub
This place looks os such fun! With soft play, sandpits and lots of activities it would be a great place to go for a rainier day. It costs £5.95 for 1 adult and 2 children so won’t break the bank too!
We all love a good treasure hunt so why now book onto this underground one. It’s different from the norm and sounds quite exciting too! You could nip to a poundshop beforehand to maybe add an incentive of winning prizes after each stage too!
That is just a few ideas of what you could get up to on a budget this May half term! You can catch what we get up to over on our instagram stories.
Let me know what takes your fancy and what day trips you’ll be planning for your half term break.
