Thank You For Reporting My Breastfeeding Photo To Facebook

By doing so you have

Made more people aware of breastfeeding and a mamas right to choose

Shown the discrimination that others give to breastfeeding mums by making yourself look a tad silly

Showed me how much support there is and taught me that the majority of my friends are just plain brilliant

And that you my friend are an idiot

You choose to stay anonymous but I will not

I will be vocal and supportive

I will be snapping and sharing

I will be loud and proud

Of a mama’s choice

Of my choice

Of your ignorance

But most of all I thank you for showing me what a fantastic community I have.

If 1 person can be an idiot

Than 1 person can be a voice of reason

1 mama might feed for longer

1 mama might find the support she needs

1 mama might find the confidence to be the mama she wants to be not the 1 you think she should be

I am thankful for my 2 brilliant children and that I live in a world where being their mama is all that matters.

Oh how totally ridiculous of people! The first photo I put on Facebook of my son was him breastfeeding because that was the first thing he did when he was born – that’s how natural it is, it’s one of the first instincts to kick in in a newborn baby!!
I’m glad Facebook recently changed its rules on the subject and I shall definitely continue to post pictures!
