We have spent some time away from the blog recently looking at what aspects work for us and what doesn’t. We know that inspiration comes and flows. One thing that keeps us inspired is the music we listen to and the books we read so we have decided to reinstate the previously popular Saturday Soundtrack! This week we have the very gorgeous Laura Leanne. Over to you DJ!
When Chelle said that Saturday Soundtrack was making a comeback I thought what a fun blog series – I loved choosing my 5, although it was waaay harder than I imagined to choose just 5! It seems I like to boogies around my kitchen to quite a lot of songs.
There are 3 songs however that I just new straight away had to be on the list, they never fail to get me moving and I have yet to get bored of them! The other two have chopped and changed so many times but I think I’ve finally settled on them now.
1. Avicii – Wake Me Up
I literally love this song. The country/ dance vibe never fails to get me ‘cotton eye-joe’ing’ around like a loon!
2. The Killers – Mr Brightside
The anthem of my University days. Always makes me happy hearing this, it takes me right back to the dance floor at 2 in the morning, belting it out and jumping up and down in a mass crowd.
3. Queen – Don’t Stop Me Now
This is one of my mums favourite songs so I heard it a lot growing up. It is another anthemic tune that just makes me happy. And when I’m happy, I dance!
4. Macklemore – Glorious
Another super happy song that you can belt out and bop along to. The whole family loves this song, it’s kinda ‘our song’ now.
5. Kiesza – Hideaway
If you’ve ever seen the video to this, it’s basically how I ‘walk’ around the house tidying/ cleaning when this song comes on!
I’m a bit gutted that there was no room left for a bit of cheese, as I do love some cheesy pop like Little Mix to get me boogying too. But nope, these are my top 5. I’m settled 🙂
