Saturday Soundtrack // Jo from Miracle Max

Hi, I’m Jo and I blog over at Miracle Max.

I started my blog in June when my son Max was born as a way to document my journey into motherhood. Music is a big part of our lives. Me and my husband would often play music to my tummy when I was pregnant and Max would kick away. I’m never far from a radio and always have music on whatever I’m doing, be it cooking, ironing, driving or blogging. My music taste is very varied, but I must admit, I do love the cheesy classics. So without further ado, here’s my top 5 ‘go to’ songs:

The Carpenters – Please Mr Postman

This reminds me of my childhood. My Mum and Dad had the Carpenters album on loop in the car and we’d listen to this song every Saturday morning on our way to swimming lessons.

Shania Twain – You’ve Got a Way

This song was mine and Adams first dance back when we got married in 2013 and will always hold the most special of places in my heart

Kevin Little – Turn Me On

You know that one song that makes you want to get up and dance, no matter where you are? Well this one does it for me. It reminds me of Summer days and BBQ’s with friends and instantly lifts my mood when I hear it.

Mike Posner – I Took a Pill in Ibiza

This reminds me of my Summer holiday this year. We went to Orlando and it was playing on the radio EVERYTIME we got in the car – you just couldn’t escape it and it ended up being our holiday anthem.

Israel Kamakawiwo’Ole– Somewhere Over the Rainbow

About a month after me and Adam met he made me a CD full of songs that had a special meaning to him. This was one of them and I thought it was really sweet – he’s a big softie at heart.

Thanks so much for sharing your special tracks Jo!
