Guest Review // Ruby and Ginger Car Seat Cover

My 4 month old was born premature and when we were bringing him home from hospital we were told to keep him warm to ensure his blood sugar levels stayed at a good level. This caused a lot of debate during trips out as my partner piled the blankets on baby whenever we left the house to keep the chill off, but this worried me as I thought baby would overheat.

This was where the Ruby and Ginger cosy car seat cover came in to our lives and quickly settled worries on both sides. The cover has an elasticated trim so it fit our car seat and buggy travel system perfectly, ensuring that baby was fully covered and created a warm pocket for him to be in without being exposed to the elements.

With a 3+ tog rating it also meant an end to the regular blanket debate as baby was warm enough without these.

The covers can be fitted/ removed without disturbing baby and there is a peephole just above baby’s face so that you can see them – a great feature for us as first time parents who spend a lot of the day checking that baby is ok!10937529_10155066749540591_821059469_n

This is a great product which has been invaluable this winter to get us out of the house and keep all three of us happy.

The car seat cover is £30 which represents great value for money and with the snow fast approaching now it’s getting daily use!
