Review: My Pick Of Maternity Bras

You might be holding off buying maternity clothes and bits for your growing bump but around 8 weeks pregnant you’ll need to invest in a few decent bras. I was lucky enough to be sent some of the designs from Bravado and Bras4Mums to try around between 8-10 weeks pregnant and these are still going strong now.

First up was the Body Silk Nursing Bra in Pink. It’s not a structured bra as such but I do love that it’s fabric is stretchy yet supportive. It’s washed really well and so far I’ve been wearing from 10 weeks to now (19 weeks) and it hasn’t lost any shape. I decided to take out the padding as it didn’t suit my natural bust shape but I like that is an addition if you need them. I think breast pads would easily fit into the pocket which is great to keep them in place. Comfy for day or might. I like that this bra was a lovely vibrant colour.

Anita firm support nursing bra. I have this bra in black and white after purchasing at 8 weeks pregnant. They are comfy and shaped more like a normal bra but without the underwire. I love the lace detailing. These bras feel silky to touch. I’ve nearly grown out of these at 19 weeks but would recommend for everyday wear.

The Bravado Original Nursing Bra. This is my favourite so far. It’s a crop top style which means no hook and eye back. It’s so comfy to wear and is great for day and night. It’s still got lots of wear in it although the colour has slightly faded. I’ve got a peach colour with a butterfly design. Very pretty! This is the top bra of the three and my first choice if in my underwear draw. I usually go for black or white underwear but since I’ve gone for a neutral maternity wardrobe I love a splash of colour. I can see this maternity bra lasting my pregnancy and have been wearing for around 10 weeks so far.

Do you have a favourite maternity brand?
