Muddy Puddles to make a real difference to kids with their “Get Outdoors” Campaign

Natasha Ascott, a busy mum of three, entrepreneur and Managing Director at leading UK children’s outdoor clothing brand, Muddy Puddles, has a new mission – to get children outdoors, active and healthy.    With nearly a quarter of British children under the age of 5 falling into the overweight/obese category, and 18 million children in the UK spending 50% more time indoors than 30 years ago, and 28 hours a week looking at screens*, Muddy Puddles has decided it is about time to do something about this high profile issue.

Over the past few months she has spearheaded a Virgin Media’s Pitch to Rich campaign, and has battled through to be one of 10 companies shortlisted in the ‘Grow’ category.  There have been thousands of entries, but the public have had their say, and it seems they are on board with the vision Muddy Puddles has – to become the brand that inspires the next generation to place playing and learning outdoors at the forefront of childhood again.  Now in the final stages of the campaign, Natasha and the small team at Muddy Puddles have a challenge on their hands…to spread the word to as many families as possible and ask for their vote to win £250,000, so their dream of rolling out their “Get Outdoors” campaign can become a reality for children across the UK.

Everyone who votes has the chance to win £10,000 and to make a difference to children everywhere through the work Muddy Puddles aim to achieve.

Muddy Puddles has also launched a competition to encourage people to vote, the winner can win a luxury outdoor holiday for 10 for a week & a year’s supply of waterproofs & a Go Ape Family Pass!
