Getting My Hygge Into Christmas

I don’t know about you but I love the cosy feeling of winter. I don’t know if it’s because I met Gav on the 16th December 10 years ago, that our wedding anniversary is in January, or the fact our first born was born 10 days before Christmas but this time of year feels so special and make me want to hibernate and just soak in family time.

So when JD Williams contacted me to ask me to choose a few items for our bedroom I knew just what I would go for to style it up for Christmas.

First up I chose a gorgeous Christmas themed bedding set. I love that the pattern is reversible too. I was need my bedroom to a warm welcoming feel and I think the red and white in this set work really well. The material is super soft and ideal for winter snuggling.

I then wanted a throw that can be used for Christmas Eve snuggles with the kids but also great for adding an extra layer in bed on cold winter nights. This winter themed bedspread matches the bed set but also complements the greys in the living room as well. I love the print so kids with sticky hands won’t be allowed to cuddle unless they are clean!
When it’s dark outside and you’ve got a winter film on the last thing you want to do is have bright overhead lights on. I decided that we would get a decorative Christmas light that could be used all year around though so star shapes are perfect.
The last item I chose was a pair of fleecy Pyjamas. I mean whats the point of a cosy looking bed if you cant hang about in it watching Christmas films all day with the kids and a hit chocolate….oh hang on two are toddlers I have not thought this through….
I have to say that I was so impressed with the sale on the website that I also bought a few
Herringbone Throws for £7.50 each!  They are perfect for a grown up look in the living room and protecting the sofa from the spills and knocks this Christmas!
How you added the Hygge touch to your home this Christmas?
