Did you know that more women experience stress incontinence (or light bladder leakage) in the UK than hay fever?
Usually stress incontinence begins after having a baby, but it can also be caused by lots of other factors such as emotional stress; by painful and complex health conditions like endometriosis; by getting older; by being overweight; by surgery or by medication.
Stress incontinence can be cured through 6 sessions of pelvic floor training in 84% of cases – but one in three women are unaware of this, because they aren’t seeking help.
Women are led to believe that weeing themselves when they cough, laugh or sneeze is something that must be put up with. But it’s just not true – nobody has to live like that. And especially not in silence, out of embarrassment.
That’s why we would love for you to join our team in the World’s Biggest Squeeze this Valentine’s Day (14th February). The squeeze will be a world record breaking, stigma smashing attempt to get women everywhere to collectively squeeze their pelvic floor muscles! 💥💪❤
Natracare, the UK’s leading plastic-free period product brand, has partnered with the brilliant pelvic floor expert and comedian, Elaine Miller, to host a live pelvic floor exercise class. This event will be hosted on Facebook – so you can join in from the comfort of your own home.
The Facebook event can be found here.
To celebrate we have this lovely set to give one reader. Just comment #PeepleUnite on the comments below!
