Christmas At Churchill Square – a Review

This month the Santa’s Grotto returned to Churchill Square. This year the Grotto is an amazing lego build which took a team of staff over 5 hours. We were invited to look around Santa’s Grotto and meet Father Christmas.

It started with fist bump…

We were lucky enough to be escorted around the lego grotto by Santa’s head Elf. The team of Elves were very engaging for the children and we loved the Lego pin the tail on the donkey!

We had a Selfie with an Elfie!

It was amazing the level of work that must have gone into creating the magical Lego wonderland. The kids loved it and the Elves made it super vibrant as an experience.

Meeting the big man himself!

The kids really loved meeting Father Christmas and it seemed to be over in an instant. We left the grotto and were gifts some lego and a book as well as presented with a photograph to keep in our memory box.

Our top tip though would be to arrive early! We arrived at 11:45am on a Saturday  and were lucky to be first seen on the day as a gift but the queue was super long and by 1pm was along the lower part of Churchill Square right up to the gifting tree.

Meeting Father Christmas at Churchill Square is £7 per child and you are shown round in small groups. As we had 3 children it was just us so quite intimate for a Father Christmas Experience. Each child had a gift and we got a family photo as well. The times are as published however I was pleased to see autism friendly times as well.

After meeting Father Christmas we spent some time in Churchill Square.

As expected it was quite busy but we managed to stop by the gifting tree, an amazing idea where you can buy a gift in any shop in Churchill Square for a child that may not get a gift this Christmas. I love this idea and there were quite a few choices of what you could purchase.

We also looked in Tiger for Christmas activities – starting at £1 each as well as the regular trip to Thorntons for Tree chocolates (currently 3 for 2!) and their Snowman lollipops!

Overall shopping at Churchill Square with everything is ideal for the bust parent in Brighton. They have so much under one roof and so you could do all your Christmas shopping there in 1 day!
