Last night I visited Shine hairdressers for the first time after months of tweeting them to help celebrate the launch of the Shine Bar.
Shine is situated in the North Laine near to The Basketmakers. It’s a little tucked away but that does give the salon a quite exclusive feel as does the spaced out chairs meaning it’s doesn’t feel like your being packed in or intruding on others pamper space. It’s spacious and has a nice atmosphere.
Jonathan, the owner of Shine, had 30 years of experience in the hair industry and that has led him to launching the Shine bar. Perfect for parents on the go the bar smells lovely and fresh (lemon, ginger and quiona) as well as being environmeny friendly with Biodegradable packaging.
At £9.50 the bar will probably last us a lot longer than our usual shampoo that gets overused or played with as a toy in the bathroom!
Guests at the launch were treated to some hair demos which were tailored to longer styles (I had to leave early as crammed another event in too) but that just encouraged me to book in with Shine to see what they can do for my hair at its inbetween growth. Earlier on in the year I had my short hair cut to a 60s pixie style but I’m keen to keep the length now!
We were giving a bag of goodies including the Shine bar as a thank you for attending this launch and I can’t wait to try the bar as well as the Aveda hair thinning treatments I received (my hair is still falling out 11 months post partum!).
