Saturday saw me start the second trimester. At 13 weeks littlest bump is the size of a little peach. A tiny 3.42 inches and 43 grams in weight according to the pregnancy app I have on my phone.
The last week saw the climax of the first trimester. Our scan was at 12 weeks and 5 days (the same timescale as with Froglet) and as with each scan the nerves hit a high point until finally you see a tiny baby wriggling around.
All is fine and the measurements gave the date the midwife (and my app) had given too. Mind you that doesn’t actually mean anything as Fizz was 10 days late and Frogley 4 weeks early!
Bump is indeed growing and this week I’ve had a few dizzy moments too which must be all that extra blood pumping around. I’ve felt a few flutters towards the original sunroof exit line and it’s been nice to know they are flutters and not wind.
I’ve started to ease off some work already. I know this seems early but with nausea and constant tiredness along with Froglet being an energetic little thing I’ve just lacked concentration so it’s nice to have a little back up (Thanks Hannah & Susanne) which mean I can take it easy if I need to. I find it hard to cook too so Gav has been making simple meals like fish fingers sandwiches for tea. I also got sent these from Cuckoo and as they are quite delicate in flavour they are perfect for me to grab when I’m feeling hungry without making me feel sickly. I’ve been sharing them with Froglet and he loves them too. It’s just the right amount of muesli, yoghurt and fruit so perfect for breakfast or mid afternoon snack. The only one I wasn’t so keen on was the Vanilla as it felt a bit stronger than the others. But this could be down to my pregnancy palate as we all know that changes from day to day!
Oh and I’ve been nominate for best pregnancy blog over at the MADS! If you voted for me thank you so much!! And if you didn’t you can still vote! Look over my pregnancy posts under the designated tab 😉
